Quick Write- Pets

I think all pets should be burried in cemitaries. I think this because pets are like family and  they deserve to rest in piece like the rest of us. I would burry my pet in a cemetary. That is my family member and I want them to be with me where I am burried. I would go visit my pet in the cemetary. I go visit my family there so of course i would want to go see my pet there.

Quick Write- Minions

You get a set of minions for a week. If i had a set of minions for a week I would get them to clean the house, do the laundry. I would want them to make me breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. I would get one of them to go to school for me and one of them to do my homework. I  would want them to do everything for me so I wouldn't have to do anything. They would help my life be stressfree for a week. I wouldn't have to worry about anything. It would make my life a lot easier.

Six Word Memoir #1

My mom took this picture at my best friends graduation. I chose this picture because I felt it went best with the words. It fit best with the words because the two girls in the picture are my best friends and are the only two sisters that I have.  The editing I did to this photo was put a filter on it because I felt it made the picture look better and more unique. The punctuation I used in this photo was an exclamation point. I chose that type of punctuation because I may not have any sisters but I’m happy to say that I have friends who are like my sisters and I want people to feel excited when they read that. I felt this font best suited the picture and I put it down below because I didn’t want the font covering the faces  in the picture.

This is a picture of me in my hip hop costume a few years back. I chose this picture for the memoir because it is my one of my favourite types of dance but also because it was my favourite performance that I have ever done. I used this punctuation because it worked well with this memoir. The font and the colour work really nice with the picture. I feel like it all flows together and that’s why I chose it. I did not add a filter to this picture but I cropped it and added a border. I chose this border because I thought it was really cool and I thought it make the picture have a better look and feel to it.

This is a picture of my dog, his name is Bosco. He is such a happy carefree dog who is always wagging his tale no matter what is happening. I thought this photo worked best with this memoir because he is always happy which make me think positive things and be happy. I used a filter on this photo to make it look better. It didn’t need cropping or anything. The punctuation I used a comma because it works best with the memoir to break it up.  The colour of the font matched best with the colour of his fur and I thought looked the best overall.

This is a picture of me and my best friend in a photo booth that we would go to every time went to the states. I chose this picture for this memoir because we were just young and thought it was a fun tradition to do every time we went there. We are older and realize it was kind of a silly thing to do but it as we grow up we learn more and become wiser. The punctuation I used in this picture was a comma. I chose to use a comma because I didn’t want the memoir to be one big sentence that didn’t make sense so the comma broke it up. I chose this font and colour because it is bold and colourful so you can see it and you won’t miss it. The editing I did to this photo was cropping it. I didn’t think it needed a filter because it looks fine without one and I didn’t use a border because it already had one when I took the picture.

This is a picture of my yearbooks from the past three years. I chose this picture because this is my past and is high school so when I graduate I will have a new life ahead and high school will just be in the past. All the editing I did to this photo was crop it. I didn’t think it needed anymore editing. I felt the punctuation made the memoir flow nicely so that is why I decided to use it in this situation. I felt the font and the colour of it fit nicely with the colours in the picture so that is why I used it.

This a picture of a song by Selena Gomez. I chose this picture because I like this song and I often listen to it when I want to escape from the world for a while. I chose this font because I wanted it to kind of match the picture. I chose white for the font because I wanted you to be able to see the memoir. I didn’t want it blending it with the picture, so you can actually see the memoir. I did not edit this photo because I thought it was fine the way it was. I used this type of punctuation because I thought it best clarified the message I wanted people to receive when they read this memoir.

This is a picture of me and my best friend at our first dance recital together. I chose this picture because for this memoir because we were little and having a lot of fun that day. We had nothing to worry about and it was just a carefree day! I chose this font because it looks like it is written in crayon and crayons make me think of being little. I chose purple for the font because I really like purple and I thought it matched the picture the best. I added a filter and a border to this picture because I thought it would make the picture look a little nicer.

I chose this picture that I took because I often drink Starbucks if I am in need of caffeine. It is delicious and gives me some energy when needed. I like using this font and I thought the colour of it looked really neat with the green in the Starbucks cup. I did not do very much editing to this picture. All I did was ad a filter and crop it to make it look nice. I chose to use this type of punctuation because I wanted people to pause after the word caffeine to make them think a little before what comes next. I felt this picture suited the words really nicely.

Reading Assignment #3- Text Connections

Text to Text Connection (t-t)



In the book I am reading a book called looking for Alaska the main character is a boy named Miles Halter. In the previous books that I have read the main character has always been a girl. It is weird for me to read a book from a guys perspective because I am not use to it. When I first started reading my book I just assumed the main character was a girl but it wasn't until later on in the book that I realized that it was from a guys perspective.  It is nice to experience a book from a different perspective. It changes things up a bit.

In the book I am reading called looking for Alaska the main character Miles Halter goes to a new school and ends up making more friends then he had at his last school. I think he didn’t have very many friends at his old school because he was a quiet shy kid, so when he went to his new school where he met his roommate he helped Miles make more friends. This is something that happens in the real world. Lots of kids are super quiet so it is hard for them to make friends but if they start talking to that one person who isn’t so quiet that person can help them make friends.
